The college has a spacious library. The library has a covered area of about 5000 sq.ft. It has undergone an
extension in the current year keeping the increasing number of students in mind.
The library adds new titles and updates in its collection regularly to enhance student’s education and to make the latest resource material available for faculty.
With the cooperation of Principal, IMDC has started "bring one book and get one book" program for student and faculty members. Art gallery has also been established in library where students display pieces of art on rotational basis.
IMDC provides a wide range of resources in print and electronic media to support the teaching, learning and research activities. The library stocks over 11,000 books, 25,000 journals which are available free online with abstracts as well as full text with the help of HEC. We have subscribed 20 more journals on medical discipline, these international journals are available in print and online. The library holds various books on medical sciences. A collection of reference books are also available. The non-print collection includes e-books, audio and video cassettes, CDs, DVDs, slides & presentations.
IMDC hosts a well developed museum to aid and facilitate easy learning for the students. The models are helpful
for medical and dental students.
The well equipped museum and multi disciplinary laboratory facilitates the training requirements of undergraduate and post graduate students.
The college provides separate hostel facilities for both male and female students, which is headed by Mrs.
Zubaida Niazi, Director Hostels.
Currently, the hostels are located in rented facilities within 10 minutes drive from campus. Transport between college and hostel is provided by separate buses for male and female students. The hostels are based on occupancy of 3-4 students per room with shared washrooms.
They are located at walking distances from shops but a regular facility is available for students to go to the market with no extra charges especially for the female students. The hostels have activity lounge with TV. The hostel fee also includes messing (3 meals a day).
Full security is provided to the students and they are supervised by wardens. The hostels are provided with internet access and computer facilities.
