Any student seeking admission in medical or dental college shall mandatorily be required to have passed the MDCAT examination held by Pakistan Medical Commission. The passing marks for the MDCAT examination shall
be 60% and having obtained 65% or more in the F.Sc. or equivalent exam shall be eligible for admission in a
medical or dental college.
For purpose of preparing the merit list the MDCAT result shall carry a 50% weightage and 30% weightage shall be
given to the student’s marks acquired in the FSc. or equivalent marks as certified by IBCC in the case of any other
recognized high school qualification obtained by either an external board examination taken in Pakistan or
outside Pakistan, with 20% weightage given to marks obtained in the interview to be conducted by college.
A student who does not hold a Pakistani nationality, or holds a dual nationality or is an overseas or a non-resident Pakistani citizen and having obtained their HSSC or equivalent 12th grade qualification from outside Pakistan shall for purposes of admission be deemed a 'Foreign Student'. The admission of a Foreign Student shall be
strictly on the basis of merit and no exception or special quota shall be created for Foreign Students.
Provided as an exemption for admission in the Session 2021 a Foreign Student may use results of SATII exam in
the subjects of Biology, Chemistry and Physics/ Maths as an alternative to MDCAT. The result of the student in
SATII shall be equated with the scores of MDCAT by using a weightage of 40% for Biology, 35% for Chemistry and
25% for Physics/ Maths.
Interviews with the faculty of the college is part of the evaluation for selection. The College will conduct MMIs as a part of its admission process. These will consist of 6-8 interactive stations of 4-5 minutes duration with a single interviewer at each station. The stations will focus on the following domains ethical decision making, communication skills and knowledge of healthcare system. Final eligibility for admission will be decided according to your performance in all areas of assessment. The marks obtained in the interview will carry a 20% weightage in overall score for preparation of merit list.
NOTE: Each candidate who will be selected for the interview has to appear in person before the interview panel.
There are total 100 seats for MBBS which are open to all national and international students with equivalent qualification, subject to admission regulations.
The knowledge of English language is essential as the medium of instruction is English. A foreign student will, therefore, submit an additional certificate to the effect that the candidate can read/write and speak English fluently.
NOTE: If any of the above certificates/documents are found false or forged, legal action will be initiated in addition to rusticating the student from the college. All dues deposited shall stand forfeited.
